Even Steven - Share Expenses with Group of Friends app for iPhone and iPad

If you are looking for an app to manage group expenses and need you require a high degree of flexibility then this app is for you. “Even Steven" app has provisions for:
- Individual paying for other members of the group
- Accounting for money collected in advance from group members
- Recording of an expense which is not shared equally within the group

Default assumption is that all participants, irrespective of their contributions, need to pay equally for the group event. This can be changed by specifying each participant’s due on per expense basis.

Key Features:
• Record individual but shared expenses made by participants within an event (“Individual – Shared”)
• Create a “Money Pool” in advance (if needed)
• Create money pool entries with equal or unequal amount from participants
• Specify different dues from each participant on per expense basis
• Combine both “Individual – Shared” and “Money Pool” expenses in a single event for extra flexibility
• Generate a report detailing the transactions needed to even out the contribution of each participant towards an event
• Generate a detailed email report with email addresses (if available) of the participants auto populated

Expense Type “Individual – Shared”:
Participants can make independent payments on behalf of other group members and the app supports recording of such expenses. This type of expense is called “Individual – Shared” expense and is the default method of recording an expense.

Expense Type “Money Pool”:
Participants have the option of creating a “Money pool” by collecting money in advance from each participant at the beginning or during the course of an event but before expenses are made. The expenses thereafter can be made purely out of the money collected in advance. You also have the option of collecting unequal amounts from different participants towards the money pool and the difference will be accounted for, in the final report. This gives flexibility while taking contributions.

Mixed Expense Event:
Once an advance money pool is created, you have both the options available while adding an expense entry i.e. “From Money Pool” and “Individual – Shared”. Henceforth you can add an expense using either of the two methods.
